Manufacturing Services (EMS)
EMS was launched in 1993 to support the electronics
community in all aspects of electronic assembly techniques.
EMS specialises in the support of start-up and long-established
companies through its electronic prototyping services.
Based within SAMC in Livingston, EMS currently assembles
some of the most advanced, state-of-the-art printed
circuit boards in such areas as parallel processing,
networking and FPGA design and development. Their current
customer base includes Design & Development Houses.

Digital Design and Manufacturing Studios (DDMS)
The Centre provides cost effective access to Rapid
Prototyping and Concept Modelling technologies for the
benefit of research and education for both academia
and industry. The Centre runs a wide range of activities
across a broad platform of application areas including
product design, mechanical engineering, bio-engineering
and marine engineering. The Centre is run out of the Design, Manufacture and Engineering Management Department at the University of Strathclyde.

Materials
Expert Services (MES)
MES is part of the School of Engineering within Napier
University and has over 20 years experience in resolving
issues related to the selection, manufacture and use
of engineering materials. MES provides access to expertise
covering a full range of engineering materials such
as ceramics, polymers, metals and composites.

Innovators
Counselling and Advisory Service for Scotland (ICASS)
ICASS is a Government initiative, which provides specialist
counselling and advice for Scotland’s inventors
and small innovative companies. ICASS offers early-stage
advice on the commercial potential of your idea and

Trademarks and Design Registration.
